5asec is a leading French franchise in Dubai (UAE). Unlike the French brand, 5asec UAE was meant to be a luxury brand, hence, the management decided to have an online service via a website and a mobile application. The first version of the application was complicated and had so many issues, so one of my main tasks was to design a new version of the application.
Role: UX research design / UI



The Research
The whole brand needed deep research to define the brand values, vision, tone of voice and target audience. This research included user surveys, interviews and a brand workshop with the staff. The workshop highlighted an enormous amount of insights and information about the brand generally and the application specifically, which was an excellent start to come up with some new features and to start sketching the lo-fidelity prototype.
The New Features
• Simplifying the ordering process:
Reducing the order process into a few steps, on one page, and showing the user the progress.
• Counting on email as the main authenticator:
Connecting the user's account to an email instead of a phone number.
• Easy sign-up by Social Media accounts:
The ability to sign-up via social media accounts.
• Re-Order:
One click to repeat any recent order, with the option to change the details if needed.
• Adding new advertising spots:
Showing the brand services via Images, Icons and Videos all over the application.




UI and Appearance
Creating a whole new user interface and design system includes icons, colours and shades.
